Line integrals and Green’s formula on time scales

چکیده
In this paper we study curves parametrized by a time scale parameter, introduce line delta and nabla integrals along time scale curves, and obtain an analog of Green’s formula in the time scale setting. © 2006 Elsevier Inc. All rights reserved.

Three-Dimensional Interfacial Green’s Function for Exponentially Graded Transversely Isotropic Bi-Materials
By virtue of a complete set of two displacement potentials, an analytical derivation of the elastostatic Green’s functions of an exponentially graded transversely isotropic bi-material full-space was presented. Three-dimensional point-load Green’s functions for stresses and displacements were given in line-integral representations. The formulation included a complete set of transformed stress-p...
متن کاملEvaluation of the optical conductivity tensor in terms of contour integrations
For the case of finite life-time broadening the standard Kubo-formula for the optical conductivity tensor is rederived in terms of Green’s functions by using contour integrations, whereby finite temperatures are accounted for by using the Fermi-Dirac distribution function. For zero life-time broadening, the present formalism is related to expressions well-known in the literature. Numerical aspe...
متن کاملAppendix A Vector Calculus in Two Dimensions
The purpose of this appendix is to review the basics of vector calculus in the two dimensions. Most, if not all, this material should be familiar to the student who has taken a basic course in multivariable calculus, but it is worth collecting together the necessary results. We will assume you are familiar with the basics of partial derivatives, including the equality of mixed partical (assumin...
متن کاملHandout Eight: Green’s Theorem
Green’s Theorem is another higher dimensional analogue of the fundamental theorem of calculus: it relates the line integral of a vector field around a plane curve to a double integral of “the derivative” of the vector field in the interior of the curve. It admits two different but completely equivalent formulations, a “flux” version for normal line integrals and a “circulation” version for tang...
متن کاملVolterra Integral Equations Governed by Highly Oscillatory Functions on Time Scales
It is well known that there are many analogies between the theories of difference equations and differential equations. The concept of time scales unifies these two situations but gives also solutions for problems on discrete sets with non-uniform step size or combinations of real and discrete intervals and many others. On the other hand, as it was seen in literature (beginning with [2]), the s...
